Prof. Jane Meri Santos undertook her PhD studies at the University of Manchester (UMIST) where she investigated dispersion modelling in urban areas.  She is Full Professor in Air Pollution at the Department of Environmental Engineering within UFES. During her time at UFES she has been a visiting scholar at the École des Mines d’Alès in France where she undertook research examining methodologies for estimating odour emissions from wastewater treatment plants and a visiting professorial fellow at the University of New South Wales in Australia where she carried out an investigation on momentum and mass transfer on the interface air-liquid to evaluate parametrization for estimating atmospheric emission from passive surfaces. Since 2011, she has published twenty one articles in high quality, peer-reviewed international journals, with more than twenty articles in national and international conference proceedings.  She has also successfully supervised seven PhD students. She has acted both as an external examiner and co-supervisor for PhD students in Australia and France.  In 2011 she was responsible for organising and chairing the 4th IWA Conference on Odours and VOCs. She leads the Air Quality Research group at UFES, which comprises eight academic staff, three of whom also hold CNPq researcher scholarships, one post-doctoral researcher and over twenty PhD students. ‘]VIEW PROFILE[/simple_tooltip]
